Size-inclusive coaching recognizes that people of all body sizes deserve access to strength training.
We take a weight-neutral approach to coaching. While some clients may have weight-related goals, we do not assume weight loss is the primary reason someone trains.
Our coaching framework acknowledges the impact of weight stigma, weight bias, and barriers to participation in fitness spaces. You'll learn practical ways to adapt kettlebell training for diverse bodies while creating environments where people feel respected, capable, and welcome.
-
Trauma-informed coaching recognizes that our experiences can influence how we move, learn, communicate, and participate in fitness spaces.
Throughout the certification, you'll learn how to create coaching environments that prioritize choice, autonomy, safety, trust, and respect.
Our approach is informed by the principles of Trauma Informed Weight Lifting (TIWL), anti-oppressive practice, and anti-racist frameworks. The goal is not to treat trauma, but to coach in ways that reduce harm and support people in having meaningful, empowering experiences with movement.
-
Life happens.
All live sessions are recorded and uploaded to the student portal for review.
That said, live attendance is strongly encouraged. The coaching conversations, case studies, practice opportunities, and community discussions are a valuable part of the learning experience and difficult to replicate through recordings alone.
-
Your student portal opens approximately one month before the start of the program.

Most kettlebell certifications focus primarily on technique: how to perform the lifts and how to teach the mechanics.
Those skills matter, and you'll learn them here too. But coaching people requires more than teaching movement.
The Inclusive Kettlebell Coach (IKC) Certification goes beyond kettlebell technique to explore how people experience fitness, strength, and coaching in the real world.
You'll learn how to:
Adapt kettlebell training for different body sizes, shapes, abilities, and movement histories
Coach with a trauma-informed lens that prioritizes autonomy, safety, and choice
Recognize and reduce common barriers that prevent people from feeling welcome in fitness spaces
Improve your communication, cueing, and coaching presence
Create meaningful strength experiences for a wider range of clients
Build an ethical, values-driven coaching practice
This certification was created for coaches who want to teach kettlebells to more than just athletes and fitness enthusiasts.
If you want to confidently coach beginners, larger-bodied clients, older adults, people returning to movement, and individuals with diverse lived experiences, IKC provides the tools, framework, and practical experience to do that.
We believe great kettlebell coaching isn't just about teaching the bell. It's about seeing and teaching the person holding it.
“I walked away with much more then just the kettlebell skills specifically, but a lot of golden nuggets to help me fine tune my skills as a coach in general”
- LISA MASTRACCHIO
“She taught me so much as a coach— less is more, trust the process, and think differently about things you think you know best. While she is an amazing coach for any and every level, she is the coach this industry needs and who professionals can learn so much from.”
- CHARIS COOK
